Directions:
- Cut out or purchase one set (26 letters) of alphabet letters.
- Find a branch outdoors (or make a tree trunk and branches out of brown construction paper).
- Anchor the tree branch in a bucket of sand (or post a construction paper tree on the wall).
- Use tape, glue or ribbon to hang each letter on your tree.
- Learning ideas: choose a "letter of the day" to focus on; have children identify each letter and the sound it makes.
- Extension: Read "The Alphabet Tree" by Leo Leonni or "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" by Bill Martin, Jr.
