Bubble Burst Printing
Materials:
- newspaper
- tempera or acrylic paint (dark colors work well)
- bubble blowing liquid
- drinking straws
- a flat pan large enough to hold paper, such as a baking pan
- thick paper
Directions:
- Cover your work area with newspaper.
- Pour bubble liquid into the pan 1/4 inch deep.
- Stir 1-3 teaspoons of paint into the bubbles.
- Insert the end of a straw into the liquid. Blow gently into the straw to make a mound of bubbles.
- Gently place a piece of paper on top of the bubbles.
- Lift the paper. You should have a bubble print!
- Lay the piece of paper face up to let it dry.
- If you wish, repeat the steps above to make more bubble prints or to print with another color of bubbles.
- If the paper curls when it dries, flatten between two large books.
