Craft Stick Turkey

Materials:

1. Construction paper
2. Craft sticks
3. 1 wooden ice cream spoon
4. Chenille stem
5. Paint
6. Glue
7. Fine tip permanent marker - such as a Sharpie

Directions:

1. Cut out a beak and waddle.
2. Glue the craft sticks in a fan design onto a sheet of construction paper.
3. Paint the 'feathers.' Then glue on the wooden spoon to make the body.
4. Trim the chenille stems then bend them into legs and feet and glue into place.
5. Add the beak and waddles then draw in a couple of eyes with the Sharpie.
6. After the turkey is dry, ask your child what he/she is thankful for this year and write it on the turkey 'feathers.'
