Heart Poppies

Materials:

1. red construction paper
2. black construction paper
3. safety scissors
4. glue
5. safety pins (optional)

Directions:

1. Red poppies are worn to support soldiers and their families.
2. Using red construction paper, cut out 4 small hearts for each poppy flower.
3. Arrange the four hearts to make a poppy flower.
4. Cut a small circle out of black construction paper.
5. Glue the black circle to the center of the flower.
6. Let dry.
7. Idea: Use a safety pin to wear a poppy flower on Veterans Day.
8. Idea: Glue poppy flowers onto a card. Mail to a soldier or a soldier's family.
