Plant Prints

Materials:

1. leaves
2. newspaper
3. tempera paint
4. paint brushes
5. water containers (to wash brushes)
6. white paper

Directions:

1. Take a walk outdoors.
2. Pick a few non-toxic leaves. (Stay away from poison ivy, etc.!)
3. When you get home, cover your painting area with newspaper.
4. Place white paper on the newspaper.
5. Use paintbrushes to paint one side of a leaf.
6. Press the leaf onto white paper. Lift up to see the print.
7. Repeat with other leaves or other colors. Wash each paintbrush when switching colors.
