Recipe Holder
Materials:
- 3 inch flower pot
- paint
- paint brushes or paint sponges
- plaster of paris
- plastic fork (1 for each recipe holder)
- silk or plastic flowers
- moss
Directions:
- Cover your table or project area to protect from drips.
- Have children paint the outside of the flower pot.
- Let dry completely.
- Mix plaster or paris according to package directions.
- Let plaster sit until it has thickened, but is still pourable. (If it is too runny, it will leak out of any holes in the bottom of the flower pot.)
- Pour plaster into pots.
- Stick the handle of the fork into the center of the pot. (The tines of the fork will hold a recipe card when project is complete.)
- Place the stems of flowers into the plaster to decorate.
- Add moss to hide any remaining plaster that is still showing.
- Let the plaster dry overnight.
