Super Squid

Materials:

1. paint
2. construction paper
3. tape (or staples)
4. scissors (optional)
5. wiggle eyes
6. markers
7. hole punch
8. pipe cleaners

Directions:

1. Paint a beautiful design on construction paper.
2. Let dry completely.
3. Roll the construction paper into a cylinder.
4. Overlap the edges by 2 inches. Fasten together with tape or staples.
5. If desired, cut shapes (such as circles or triangles) to make a base for the eyes and nose. Glue onto the cylinder.
6. Glue on wiggly eyes.
7. Decorate the face with markers, adding a mouth.
8. Make 8 hole punches at the bottom of the body.
9. Make a hook on one side of 8 pipe cleaners.
10. Thread the hook through the holes. Pinch the hook together so the pipe cleaners won't fall off.
11. Roll the ends of the pipe cleaners to make the squid's tentacles.
12. At the top of the cylinder, make two hole punches to hang the squid. Use a pipe cleaner to make a hanger.
