Ingredients (homes):
- 1 1/2 pound Chicken, boneless, skinless, diced OR Salmon, boneless, skinless, diced
- 1/2 cup Butter, salted
- 8 oz. Cream Cheese
- 1 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 2 cup Milk
- 8 oz. Parmesan Cheese, shredded
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1/4 tsp. Pepper
- 8 oz. Fettuccine Noodles, whole wheat
Ingredients (centers):
- 4 1/2 pound Chicken, boneless, skinless, diced OR Salmon, boneless, skinless, diced
- 1 1/2 cup Butter, salted
- 1 1/2 pound Cream Cheese
- 1 TBSP. + 1 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1 qt. + 1 pint Milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. Parmesan Cheese, shredded
- 1 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 3/4 tsp. Pepper
- 1 pound 9 oz. Fettuccine Noodles, whole wheat
Directions:
- Cook meat in 1 TBSP. butter. Set aside.
- Boil noodles according to package directions.
- Heat remaining butter. Stir in cream cheese and garlic until melted.
- Gradually whisk in milk.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce to low heat. Add Parmesan, salt and pepper.
- Simmer 5-10 minutes until thickened.
- Let sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
- Serve over pasta.
Serve:
1 portion = 2 oz. meat + 1/2 cup pasta (1 oz. eq. grain).
