Ingredients (homes):

  • 1 pound enriched macaroni pasta
  • 2 (12 oz.) cans evaporated milk
  • 4 cups (1 quart) chicken broth
  • 1 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 pound Colby Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon EACH dry mustard, salt, and garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • a dash paprika

Ingredients (centers):

  • 4 pounds enriched macaroni pasta
  • 1 (97 fl. oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 1 gallon chicken broth
  • 4 pounds sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 pounds Colby Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon EACH dry mustard, salt, and garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons pepper
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon paprika

Directions:

  1. Coat cooker/roaster with nonstick spray.
  2. Layer all ingredients in crock pot/slow cooker/ roaster. Stir gently to mix.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours. Stir. Cook until pasta is cooked through, about 30 minutes longer for a 5 quart cooker.

Serve:

3/4 cup counts as 2 oz. meat alternate and 1 oz. eq. grain.
