Peach + Yogurt Smoothie

6 portions for ages 6+

Makes 31 1/4 cups.
Ingredients (homes):
- 3 cups vanilla yogurt, with 23 g or less total sugars in 6 oz.
- 2 lb. 8 oz. peaches, frozen, unsweetened (about 11 1/4 cups)
Ingredients (centers):
- 6 lb. 4 oz. (3 quarts + 1 cup) vanilla yogurt, with 23 g or less total sugars in 6 oz.
- 10 lb. 6. oz. (2 gal. + 3 qt. + 3 c.) peaches, frozen, unsweetened
Directions:
- Puree all ingredients together in a food processor or blender.
- Tip: Large batches of smoothies can be made in large containers, such as a 5 gallon bucket, with an immersion blender.
Serve:
Each child ages 6+ 1 1/4 cups to count as 3/4 cup fruit + 1 oz. eq. meat alternate.
Each 1-5 year old 1 cup to count as 1/2 cup fruit + 1/2 oz. eq. meat alternate.
Pureed fruit in smoothies counts as 100% juice. Juice can be claimed 1 time per day at your facility.
